Upon my recent stay at the 1898 Hotel Colonia en Las Filipinas, I was thoroughly impressed by the fusion of colonial charm and modern convenience that the property offers. Nestled on P Burgos St, it presents easy access to local attractions while ensuring a peaceful retreat, especially from the 19th floor where my room was located. One of the highlights was dining at Tia Abuela's, where the Cusina Filipina menu seamlessly blends Spanish and Filipino entrees. I sampled their adobo, which proved to be a delightful interpretation of the classic dish paired with aromatic rice. Beyond the fantastic food, I enjoyed the ambience, which encapsulates both the heritage and spirit of the location. The hotel's coffee lounge, Tranvia, was a haven for relaxation. I treated myself to delectable pastries while sipping on their signature brewed coffee, a must for any fellow enthusiast like myself. The pool area boasted a stunning view- a perfect setting for winding down after a day of exploration. Ultimately, the combination of attentive service from staff such as Joy, Pie, and Russel, paired with the clean and comfortable amenities, makes for a remarkable getaway I would eagerly recommend to fellow food enthusiasts.
